Tamara A. Beyer DVM

Dr. Beyer is a Racine native and 1990 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  After working in Milwaukee for 6 1/2 years, Dr. Beyer and her husband Jeff purchased  Beechwood Veterinary Clinic in January 1997.  Over the years, the clinic has grown from the original three employees to our current size.  Dr. Beyer has a special interest in dermatology, has published articles in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, taught a class in Business Practices at the Veterinary School and also has done a radio show for a local station.

She and Jeff have two very active sons, two dogs and a cat.  In her spare time, Dr. Beyer can be found in her scrapbooking nook trying to get caught up.

Jeff Johnson DVM

Dr. Johnson was born in Kansas and grew up throughout the Midwest.  He graduated from Kansas State Veterinary School in 1985 and has been in small animal private practice since then.  He still enjoys the challenges and rewards it brings him.  He joined the staff at Beechwood in 2007.  He has three children in college all working on advanced degrees.  He currently owns multiple pets and enjoys the wonders of Wisconsin through hiking, camping, fishing and biking.
